IP Release Form
Make certain that any time you work with or hire a photographer that the photographer provides you with some variety of written permission for you to use the images how you intend to use them. Not only does this help make sure everyone is on the same page for where the pictures may be published, but also, in most cases when a photographer takes a picture, the photographer owns the copywrite to that image - even when it's a picture of you. You could end up in trouble if you publish or monetize the pictures without written permission.
Tyr is very proactive about making sure clients and collaborators have this important authorization. Let us know if you would like to see the form we use.

Q & A
How much do you charge for a photoshoot?
That depends on exactly what you're looking for. The most common of studio shoots runs $250, but if you have a cool idea that I can also use for my marketing or portfolio then we might be able to collaborate and the cost for your photoshoot could be reduced. On the other hand, if your photoshoot needs extra resources, travel, time, wardrobe, etc. then it could cost more.
I'm happy to negotiate, and very open with communication. Let me know what you're looking for, and I'll do my best to make it happen!
What does TFP or 'for trade' mean?
Trade For Portfolio.
Essentially, it's an offer to do a photoshoot for you at no charge because I think we both have something to gain from working together.
Most of the time, if I brought up this term, it was likely because you have a cosplay that I would benefit from adding to my print portfolio and that I think you would benefit from the photos as well.
Can I tip? / Do you expect a tip from a photoshoot?
Photography equipment costs money, studios are often surprisingly expensive, and photography is a lot of work and takes a lot of time. (Less than 20% of my time working on photography is actually the time I'm in studio with clients.) So, I really appreciate when a client tips. It makes it much easier to sustain my work. As such, if you choose to tip then I can prioritize the post work on your photos so you can have them sooner.
But, it is not required nor expected. Please only tip if I provided an experience and product that clearly exceeded expectations AND if you are in a position that you can tip without it causing you strain.
Should you decide to tip, tipping after the photo session or after I deliver the final images are both appropriate times. I can take a card, cash or Venmo for a tip.
What comes with a photoshoot?
Normally, 30+ high quality, edited images including rights for you to publish/monetize them should you wish. I also have options for producing physical prints. Let me know if you would like a quote for any physical products.
Can I bring a friend or partner with me for the photoshoot, even if they aren't part of the shoot?
YES! YES! And a resounding yes!! I am a huge advocate for model safety. Bringing a friend to work with a new photographer is a good standard practice for any model and any type of photoshoot. Never work with a photographer that tells you otherwise. Even if you don't have someone you're planning on bringing, ask the photographer if it would be okay to bring someone. If they say no, then don't be anywhere alone with that photographer. That photographer is probably safe, but don't settle for probably when it comes to your safety.
Will our boudoir session be private?
It can be if you would like.
I do have an assistant that helps me with setup, lighting, time management, etc. If you would prefer him to not be in the studio with us, that is fine. Just communicate with me and I will adjust accordingly. Your comfort is a priority.
It's my first time doing a boudoir shoot. Would you be willing to walk me through what a spicy photoshoot is like normally?
Absolutely! I'm a big believer in making sure everyone is on the same page, especially if it's your first photoshoot. Here's a walkthrough of what you can expect:
Arrival: We'll meet at the studio or shoot location. It's a good idea to arrive with your cosplay/wardrobe mostly prepared, including hair, makeup, and wearing most of the first outfit. We'll have a few minutes for you to finish preparations and/or get fully into character on-site.
Communication: I'll provide a brief questionnaire to help us discuss comfort levels and ensure we're aligned on the style and content of the shoot. Open communication is key, especially for boudoir shoots, to ensure your experience is enjoyable and respectful.
Props and Settings: I'll show you the available props and settings I have available that I believe will work well for your shoot. We'll also discuss any props or ideas you have in mind.
Two-Part Shoot: I often like to do boudoir shoots in two parts. Beginning with a full outfit for some more traditional photos, then working in some spice in the first outfit. For the second part of the shoot, we can change to an outfit that more directly features some lingerie or such.
Nudity or coverage: Every model's comfort points are unique, and we want to make sure you stay safe and comfortable. Many models do not want any nudity/sensuality in their shoot, others are comfortable with part, some models are comfortable being nude during the shoot but don't want the final photos to show any, and some models want photos with full nudity. Wherever your comfort profile lands, it is entirely valid and will be respected.
For my own comfort levels, so long as the photoshoot remains artistic at its core, I am usually comfortable. If we start to near any of my comfort boundaries, I'll communicate that with you.
Draping and contact: I've worked with models that prefer more space, and I've worked with models that prefer less space. All of which is great. In short, if you want to drape, please do so any time it will make you more comfortable. If you need more space, please tell me. If you prefer more hands-on direction, please ask. I like to think I'm pretty good at reading a models preferences, but it's much better if we just communicate and eliminate any chance of a misstep.
Timing: Most shoots will be 2-3 hours. This usually is a comfortable window to get everything ready, shoot, and then have a window for you to change before we leave.
